About QEaaS

QEaaS stands for Quantum Entropy as a Service.

The Quantum Entropy as a Service (QEaaS), particularly as offered by Quantum Dice, leverages quantum physics principles to provide secure, verifiable randomness. These can be used to significantly improve cybersecurity functionalities - including entropy for encryption keys.

This service uses a cluster of geographically distributed quantum random number generators (QRNG) backed by our patented device-independent self-certification (DISC™) protocol to ensure high-quality, reliable entropy with every block of random numbers delivered live in real-time.

QEaaS allows organizations to access and manage quantum-secured randomness on a subscription basis, enabling our customers to meet compliance standards and secure their cryptographic systems, even as they migrate to post-quantum cryptography.

QEaaS can be used particularly in two main category of usecases, when:

  • A small amount of randomness is needed (e.g: For cryptography)
  • A large amount of randomness is needed (e.g: For simulations)

The QEaaS API provides an interface between clients application and Quantum dice's QEaaS server. See the Getting Started guide for a quick tutorial on how to start using the API.
